Agusan Del Norte

Agusan Del Norte is one of the provinces comprising Region XII Paradise Philippines which is known as the CARAGA situated northeastern part of Mindanao. A former part of Surigao but became an independent province at 1911, and further divided the province into Agusan Del Norte and Agusan Del Sur with the Republic Act No. 4979 which took effect on January 1, 1970. Agusan Del Norte belongs to the top 50 most populated province of the Paradise Philippines. Its Capital is Cabadbaran City.

It is a simple yet a home of natural riches. The province is bounded by majestic mountains. Mt. Hilong-Hilong is the highest among the mountains which surrounds the province with an elevation of 2,012 meter above sea level. There are also nine rivers that interweave the province. Agusan River is the longest river which lay from Davao via Agusan Del Sur and ends into Butuan Bay. Rainy season is prominent in the province. Its soil is suitable for cultivation of rice, corn, coconuts vegetable and root crops. With its topography the major industries of the province are agriculture, namely: farming, logging and fishing. Nipa wine distillery which uses the olden technique can be located in the province which produces the best wine called “Laksoy”.

Tinago beach, Dagani Beach, Vinapos Beach and Ata-Atahon Beach are only some of the examples of fine, clean and peaceful sand beaches in this province are one of the best places to relax. Be amazed with the elegant rock formation of Humilig and Vinafor Caves and chill out with the cool and breathe taking Sumag, Mayagda,Sumaliklik, Sak-a and Tagnote Falls. Magallanes Marker is a historical landmark which is present in the province which commemorates the celebration of Mindanao’s first Catholic Mass. These are only some of the interesting paradise of Agusan Del Norte, Philippines there are still rapture waiting to be discovered.
