Princess Urduja: a myth in Paradise Philippines?

July 21st, 2007 · 1 Comment ·

The Paradise Philippines owned a piece of history when it claims that Princess Urduja, a valiant warrior was a part of the Province of Pangasinan. The Pangasinenses believe that in pre-hispanic time there was a woman who ruled the western part now considered to be along the Paradise Hundred Islands of the Philippines going forth to Bolinao.

Though many argue that the story of the Philippines’ Paradise inspiration is just a myth, it flashes into my mind sometimes the fact that there are fossils in Bolinao. And Bolinao has their own museum for these found fossils.

According to IBN Batuta, he saw also elephants and buffaloes during the Princess’ time. Well there’s a lot of buffaloes is Paradise Philippines Pangasinan but nobody had seen any elephants. Though there are bones of elephants found in Anda Paradise Philippines Pangasinan. And if there were elephants here, what happened to them? Were they drowned by the waters of South China Sea? Or were the buffaloes overwhelmed them that they couldn’t survive.

You couldn’t call it Paradise Philippines without the inclusion of the Province of Pangasinan where one time lived a Paradise jewel named Urduja in the Paradise Philippines islands.

i think that urduja is a true character who ruled her kingdom in the 13th century due to the fact that there are evidence and according also to the accounts of ibn batuta and fr. odoric who had the same statement about urduja.
