San Jose Tarlac
San Jose Tarlac is bounded on the northwest by the municipalities of
Mayantoc, on the northeast by thee municipality of Sta. Ignacia, eastward by the
city of Tarlac, southward by the municipality of Capas and on westward by the
Province of Zambales. It has a distance of 79 kilometers from San Fernando,
Pampanga, the Regional Capital of Region III, and 20 kilometers away from the
City of Tarlac and Provincial Capitol. The municipality covers a land area of
574.81 square kilometers of which a large portion is used for agricultural
activities.
The total land area of San Jose is a combination of hilly, mountainous
and rolling terrain. The rolling terrain is made up on an open grassland and
bush land. Agricultural land is covered with green leaves and growing crops.
Also noted, an estimated vast area of mountainous along westward and southern
part of them municipality.
San Jose like other town of the province of Tarlac is classified as an
agricultural municipality. Large portion of the area is allocated for
agricultural purposes. The cultivated farmlands are mostly engaged in rice
productions and some kinds of vegetables and forest bearing trees.
