The cinema used to be a very popular place to go to watch a movie. But unfortunately there has been a sudden decrease in popular movies. Most movies that are released today are not up to top standard. Of course it is personal preference and what I think is good may not meet your tastes and vice versa. But overall I think that many people can agree that there are only a few movies worth seeing compared to what it was say 5-10 years ago. The standards of movies that have been created have certainly dropped and the interest in going to the cinema to watch a movie has also dropped as a result.
The cinema is still popular but the popularity is certainly beginning to decrease, we are beginning to see many movies being released that have not only bad script but bad acting also. It is as though movie directors are get lazy and not performing to the standards that they once did. What is worse is that there is still a high majority of people who will go and watch these terrible movies. Even though its is down to personal preference, I can guarantee you that the majority of people who see movies nowadays come out of the cinema feeling disappointed at the movie they had just watched. To be honest, I don’t blame them, many movies nowadays have a very crafty way of advertising themselves to make themselves look good, and we are drawn in by this advertising. All this advertising causes us to go and see these bad quality movies and essentially fund their futures.
It is time that we took a stance and taught these movie directors that bad quality movies are becoming more and more of a problem, we need to stop funding their bad movies and focus our energy on the movies which are good. There are some great movies out there, do not get me wrong, but I feel that film directors need to change there act and put a bit more effort into their movies. With the equipment being available there are a lot more film directors coming about, independent film makers are moving in and to be honest, I would much rather watch a movie made by an in dependant film maker than to watch a big Hollywood movie.
The cinema seems to be on a constant down slope, of course there are some good movies that are due out, but the amount of good movies being produced is lowering in number, most movies nowadays can hardly be rated highly. I do not know what to expect from the cinema and the movies being shown, but I think that the solution is fairly simple; we need some better script writers and acting. Many movie directors seem to think that they can cover up their bad storylines with lots of special effects, this was effective at first but people are finally starting to realise what is happening. The solution has already presented itself, something has to change, and soon!
